What are the GDC development outcomes A to D?

Every GDC CPD activity should link to at least one of four development outcomes, A to D.

Every CPD activity you count should link to at least one of the GDC's four development outcomes:

  • A. Communication with patients, the dental team and others, including consent.
  • B. Effective management of self and effective management of others or effective work with others in the dental team.
  • C. Knowledge and skill within your field of practice.
  • D. Maintenance of skills, behaviours and attitudes which maintain patient confidence in you and the dental profession.

Keep a note of which outcome each activity meets: your evidence must show the anticipated development outcomes. Your PDP is where you plan your CPD: see Do I need a PDP?
